They are 2mm in size with a fully drilled 0.5mm hole across the middle. It is usually red, yellow, brown or green in colour and is found in areas such as Australia, Canada, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan and Uruguay. The name Jasper is derived from Greek language and means "spotted stone". Jasper was considered a warrior’s stone during the Middle Ages and legend has it that it adorned Siegfried’s sword. It is a planetary stone for Mars and is associated with the element of fire.
