A strand of 48+ beads. Made from Carnelian and are orange in colour. These smooth plain coin beads are handcut. They are Approx 5-6mm in size with a fully drilled 0.5mm hole across the middle. Actual product colour may vary dependant on screen capabilities & settings.Carnelian is a variety of Chalcedony that has been used as gem material since antiquity. Its distinctive colour is owed to Iron impurities. Commonly found in Brazil, India, Siberia and Germany, Carnelian was supposedly a useful stone for those with weak or timid voices and was also used on Roman signet rings for imprinting a wax seal. When heated the colour can be enhanced with red and orange being the most desired colours. Carnelian is known to protect its wearer from bad energy as well as poverty.
