A strand of 60+ beads. Made from Mother Of Pearl and are pale cream in colour. These smooth faceted round beads are machine cut. They are 6mm in size with a fully drilled 1mm hole across the middle. Actual product colour may vary dependant on screen capabilities & settings.Mother of pearl is made from the inner lining of different mollusc shells, pearl oysters, freshwater pearl mussels and Abalone. Mother of pearl is a popular jewellery element because of its iridescent appearance and affordable price. While a pearl and mother of pearl are both made of Nacre, they are not the same. When making mother of pearl, beads are cut from natural sea shells then dipped in a solution containing their iridescent mother of pearl powder along with colouring agents and binders. Once dry, the mother of pearl is strung together in sets.
